Setup Egnyte

Choose type of the Egnyte application you are going to use.

Account name: What is this?

This setup is for testing and trial.
Choose this option if ou are setting up backup or sync for test or trial.
This setup is designed for production environments..
Select this option if you are setting up backup or sync for production environment.

Admin Username:

Your Egnyte administrator username

Admin Password:

Your Egnyte administrator password

API Client Key: What is this?

The key that was provided to you when you registered your application.

API Secret Key: What is this?

The secret key that was provided with your key to you when you registered your application.

You can find your account name when you access Egnyte via web and check text written in the address bar of your browser. Your address bar will see something like this:

https://myaccount.egnyte.com/

In example above, your account name would be "myaccount".

In short, to get Egnyte API client keys follow the following steps:

Get private API keys for your Egnyte domain here - https://developers.egnyte.com/member/register
Reach out to Egnyte support and ask to increase API limits to their desired number of calls
If necessary, set your non-SSO Egnyte password
Enter the keys and credentials into the form

Two-way sync of data between two cloud accounts means that changes (updates, renames, uploads, deletes) from the service will be automatically copied to other services and vice-versa: when you modify something on the second service the changes will be automatically replicated to the first service.

One-way sync means only changes you make on the first service will be replicated to the second service. However, changes on the second service will not be replicated to the first service. One-way sync with option Archive files before they are changed or deleted by sync is basically a sync for backup.
